Will you get it right on your own?

How to avoid costly mistakes that can cost you thousands!

It amazes me how many people want to build a multimillion dollar portfolio and think that because they have bought one or two properties they are expert investors. When in your life have you done something once or twice and become an expert?

It didn’t work that way for me when I learnt to ride a bike. I had supervision, training, a helping hand and ongoing support; hence the bruises and scratches were minimised and broken bones were avoided.

Building a property portfolio (and learning to run it like a business) to change your financial position, is a totally different ball game. If you are wishing to create a scenario where in a few years you can replace an income, put kids through private school or go on that long overdue holiday, then having the right team behind you is vital and can save you thousands of dollars! Additionally I often ask why (if talking about investing hundreds of thousands of dollars), would you not seek out advice from industry professionals ; this is lots of money and often a 30 year mortgage we are talking here – so why do so many people go in blindfolded with their fingers crossed?

So how do you get it right?

Firstly, this requires a detailed set of personal goals for you and your partner and a strategic approach to finance so you don’t hit bottlenecks that could stop you buying for years.

Secondly, a strategic approach to purchasing property is necessary; meaning that:-

1) You are confidently buying in the best location

2) You are using the correct strategy to give you the biggest gain possible (in the shortest time) and

3) You achieve your personal outcomes – safer and faster

It is very satisfying to see many of our clients, who only six months prior, had no property (or maybe one or two), no real property investing skill or experience and were scared to death of moving forward; have now purchased a further 2- 4 properties and have greatly increased their equity position.

However, most importantly they now have a totally different energy as they have the certainty, confidence, knowledge and a new skill that has given them back control of their direction in life.
